Art Direction & Digital Design

Editorial Illustration

Eugene, Oregon

As Art Director for Ethos Magazine, I created illustrations, led a team of illustrators and collaborated with designers, photographers and writers across Ethos to create visuals that represented the spirit of Ethos stories. Ethos sought to amplify the voices of historically marginalized communities through student journalism, photography and artwork. As an illustrator for Align magazine, I worked with writers and photographers to illustrate artwork based around all topics related to fashion, art and culture.

I illustrated an exploded view of a passive house design, to communicate its components and how they contribute to creating a highly energy-efficient house as part of my science communication journalism story in the Science Story 2023 class. After interviewing and conducting research, I created this infographic based on the design of Peter and Lori Kugler's passive house in Eugene, Oregon. Check out the published online story 'Saving Energy One Design at a Time'.
