Portable Solar Charging
Laptop Shade

For my 2024 design capstone, I decided to revisit and materialize a 2020 design concept: a laptop shade that not only blocks the sun's rays from creating screen glare, but that also utilizes them to charge a laptop while working outdoors. I designed and built a fully-functioning portable solar charging laptop shade called the 'Solar Companion' to address the main problems I experienced while working outside: screen glare and laptop charge.
